But maybe it can still survive through droughts like so many other Australian plants? And yes, I made a chocolate cake yesterday, with flowers, it makes one feel so summery even if the weather is still cold.

Megan, I feel so ineffective. Or maybe I just need to thaw properly? I love things that grow without too much fussing, too; they make it possible to have just a few little difficult darlings in the garden. The Intercontinental Gardenerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03419730672738553254noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1625454006116116876.post-88121014296519439522011-05-14T08:03:15.295+08:002011-05-14T08:03:15.295+08:00Don't feel guilty, Liisa. Although like you, I worked in my garden for a while today, thanks to warmer temps and sunshine. Some violets from our old garden had hitched a ride in my flower pots, and I was happy to see them. Anything that covers the ground and is not grass or a true weed is a good thing in my book.Megan Seagrenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00862258798935862133noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1625454006116116876.post-62077296596152843182011-05-14T06:35:15.634+08:002011-05-14T06:35:15.634+08:00A beautiful photo. I can't get enough of violets...the drought we've had here has seen many northern hemisphere plants like it disappear from our gardens, though we have our own native species. Fortunately the drought seems to have broken.
Everyone gets sick of gardening sometimes ( I do )...eating chocolate cake seems like an excellent solution!Gardener in the Distancehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14478393904059307841noreply@blogger.com
