Spanish lavender in my front yard, now

...and the bees are busy.

What an impressive stand of lavender Liisa...I confess to not knowing the Spanish type, but it's certainly thriving for you. How is its scent - like the English or French or Italian?

Hello Faisal, its botanical name is Lavandula stoechas, and it is sometimes called also Rabbit's ears lavender. Very decorative with the colorful bracts sticking up, and it smells just like lavender does, fresh and spicy. It is more tender than other laverders, but would surely thrive in Victoria. Have a great weekend, Liisa.

I can almost smell the lavender from the photo. A rainy saturday gives me a chance to catch up with my blogging friends. It seems you are covering a lot of ground these days thanks for taking us along. Don't forget a trip to Tucquala Meadows this summer.

Liisa,
I don't know this plant but it is spectacular. Surely this isn't hardy in New England or I would have seen it. Very lovely.
